JotBox is designed to keep your notes private and under your control.
JotBox does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs in the app. JotBox does not require a developer account and does not send your notes to a developer-operated server.
Your notes, settings, rich text, and attachments are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync, notes sync through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services using your Apple ID. If you turn on iCloud Drive backup, JotBox can store a restorable backup snapshot of your notes and core settings in your iCloud Drive container. iCloud Sync and iCloud Drive backup are separate features.
JotBox may ask for access to your photo library, camera, or pasteboard only when you choose to insert images or paste content into a note. JotBox does not scan your photo library or upload your photos to a developer server.
Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. JotBox may store local purchase and trial status, including trial timing, so the app can unlock Pro features or restore access. Apple processes App Store purchase information according to Apple’s own privacy policy.
If you contact support, you may choose to share your email address, app version, device details, screenshots, or other information needed to help with your request. Support information is used only to respond to you and resolve the issue.
You can delete notes in the app, permanently remove deleted notes from the Recycle Bin, export your notes, turn iCloud Sync on or off, turn automatic iCloud Drive backup on or off, and manage photo/camera permissions in iOS Settings. Notes or backups stored in iCloud are also subject to Apple’s iCloud settings and retention behavior.

If you contact support through the website contact form, the information you submit, such as your name, email address, message, device details, app version, screenshots, or support request details, is used only to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. Contact form submissions may be sent by email and, if enabled, stored in the WordPress admin area. Please do not include private note content unless it is necessary to troubleshoot your request.
The website contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may process information about your browser, device, and interactions with this website to determine whether a submission is likely legitimate. That information is handled by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
